Typographic Musical Notation—my students’ experimentations with music scores, 2012. Visualizing sound is a synesthetic experience. Images of vibration are expressed in the terms of sound waves (wavelength, amplitude, frequency) and translated through typographic properties (length, volume, and pitch of the letters, words, and sentences).
